My journey through addiction taught me more about pain, grace, and resilience than I ever imagined. I spent years battling alcoholism, but through recovery, I found freedom—and a renewed purpose. Today, I’m proud to say I’m clean, living intentionally, and working toward becoming a substance use therapist so I can help others find the same hope that saved my life.
Art has been a powerful part of my healing. Whether it’s painting, sketching, or creating something new, art gives me a way to process, to reflect, and to connect. It reminds me that beauty can rise from brokenness, and that healing doesn’t always follow a straight line—it’s often messy, creative, and deeply personal.
Now, as a student and future counselor, my goal is to walk with others through their own recovery—offering empathy, encouragement, and the kind of support I once needed. Every day, I’m learning, growing, and giving back. And I’m grateful for every step.
